Athletes use Bathtub Yoga to Ease Sore Muscles after Workout

sore muscles yoga     The stiffness you often feel after a hard and strenuous work out is due to a build up of lactic acid in our muscles. Yoga is a great way to relieve sore muscles! Simple ways to encourage it’s release are:

Drink lots of liquids before, during, and after work

Post-exercise stretching, focusing on muscles used more frequently.

Increase circulation with hot water.

Bathtub Yoga incorporates all 3 for a powerful flushing action !  Soaking in a hot bath causes blood vessels to dilate which increases blood flow and loosens connective tissue, easing stiff and tight muscles. Stretching eases pain and soreness. For added bonus, use Epsom Salts in the Bath. for more info see: Epsom Salt Detoxifying Bath or go to http://www.livestrong.com/article/540710-taking-a-hot-bath-to-relieve-sore-muscles/
