Epsom Salt Detoxifying Soak

Epsom salts (magnesium sulfate) are a naturally occurring substance, named after the village of Epsom in England where this mineral was found in the spring water.

Get more out of your bath with Epsom salts. The crystals can help replenish magnesium, of which many of us are deficient.

Magnesium is the 2nd most abundant element in human cells. Most of us are lacking in magnesium, and soaking in an Epsom salt bath is one of the easiest ways to get a magnesium boost!

You’ll find adding 1-2 cups of Epsom salts to a bath will increase your perspiration considerably. This assists in detoxification.

The Epsom Salt Industry Council reports the following benefits:

  • Improves circulatory health
  • Improves the body’s ability to utilize insulin
  • Flushes toxins & heavy metals from the cells
  • Improves nerve function
  • Relieves stress
  • Reduces inflammation to relieve pain & muscle cramps

    A hot bath with 2 cups of Epsom salt and streching in the tub is what helps relieve pain in my legs after biking. Great idea Susan to incorporate yoga while muscles are warm and relaxed! Your instructions are so clear and motivating. Thank you!

      I love your videos, so much:) I did the colon cleasne with Epsom salt and coffee a last year myself, for five days and the last day excuse me to say I saw a worm come out and that was it for me lol:) The colon cleasnes are amazing and I felt better and my thinking was clearer Now I go to have colonics at a facility but they are a bit pricey, so I will be doing them my self once again. For a probiotic when I did them myself I used plain yogurt . Is that good?

  • Thanks for the reminder about Epsom salts! I was told that you can add more than 2 cups; also baking soda is another detoxifying kind of bath.

  • I mixed Epsom salt and brewed coffee in a shallow bath for 20 min. It definitely cleaned me out during about 5 days and I have lost nearly 10 pounds!
    It works, its natural and pocket friendly.
