Acupressure Ball Therapy for Plantar Fasciitis

Plantar Fasciitis is a painful inflammatory condition, most often felt on the underside of the heel. The pain can be most intense for the first steps in the morning.

Massage therapy and stretching the calf and foot are among treatment options. Bathtub Yoga includes both of these therapies!

foot and ball

Use a ball (as shown) to roll under the bottom of your foot while in the tub.

Trap a tennis or racquet ball under your foot, either on the tub floor or against the tub front wall. Experiment with rolling up/down, side to side, or circular motions. Include the arch and heel as you bring circulation and length to the tendons & ligaments of the foot. If you want to increase pressure go s-l-o-w-l-y and press firmly. Enjoy some deep breaths!
